Final Report Abstract

Unter dem Titel „Figurationen internationalisierter Herrschaft“ war dieses Projekt auf die Bestimmung von aktuellen Dynamiken staatlicher Herrschaft in Nachkriegsgesellschaften (Ruanda, Uganda) und einem Vergleichsfall (Kenia) gerichtet. Bedingt durch mehrere äußere Einflüße konnte das geplante Design nicht wie vorgesehen umgesetzt werden. Das Projekt hat dennoch vielfältige Ergebnisse zu den Zielen des Vorhabens erbracht. Das Hauptergebnis des Projekts ist die Einsicht in den Zugewinn von Autonomie der Regierungen Ugandas und Ruandas und ein Ausgreifen der Staatlichkeit auch unter semi-autoritären und autoritären Regimeformen. Hintergrund dieser Entwicklung sind Verschiebungen der Einbindung in den internationalen Handel, die Übernahme wichtiger Rollen in der regionalen Sicherheitsarchitektur und die Machtverschiebungen im internationalen System als Hintergrundbedingung. Aus den Ergebnissen des Projekts hat sich eine Nachfolgeforschung ergeben, die gegenwärtig unter dem Titel „Wissensproduktion in der deutschen Friedens- und Konfliktforschung und der deutschen Außen- und Sicherheitspolitik“ durch das BMBF gefördert wird.
