Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 235221301
The main focus of this project is the development of data-driven and tensor-based methods for the approximation of the governing equations of high-dimensional systems or associated transfer operators from simulation or measurement data. We will, in particular, consider kernel-based approaches and low-rank tensor decompositions and apply these methods to complex molecular dynamics and fluid dynamics problems. The goal is to identify fast and slow time scales as well as reduced models.
