Term
since 2018
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 364549901
A04 explores covalently linked PS-CAT dyads and triads. The systems will be based on metal complex or organic PS as well as polyoxometalate or metal complex catalysts for light-driven reduction and oxidation reactions. Catalytic performance effects of different linkage groups and the electronic communication between the components will be studied. Theoretical modeling of the electronic and photophysical properties will be performed and correlated to the experimental properties of the systems. Peripheral functionalization of model dyads will be used to enable covalent and supramolecular matrix integration in collaboration with B-projects with a focus on the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), NAD+-reduction (NADR), alcohol oxidation catalysis (AOC) and water oxidation catalysis (WOC).
