Having considered the prime importance of chiral molecules in pharmaceuticals, drug candidates, and natural products, the more robust synthetic methods are highly desired. In that context, I propose a more practical approach for the synthesis of valuable chiral compounds utilizing cooperative catalysis. In particular, the development of dual and powerful catalytic systems for C−H bond functionalization of simple Ketones as well as for more rigid amides in an enantioselective fashion is surprisingly unknown. Therefore, the introduction of additive free, cooperative “asymmetric copper catalysis” and “visible-light photocatalysis” would be an ideal and more practical option, which may not only unlock new paradigms in asymmetric synthesis but also overcome the number of major barriers from the previous methods. This strategy would, therefore, provide the environmentally friendly and waste-reducing alternatives to the classical methodologies, in addition to the introduction of new synthetic pathways.
