Jade University of Applied Sciences intends to support the strategic promotion of Open Access publishing of university members by establishing a comprehensive service portfolio for researchers and lecturers at the university.With the support of the university library, an advisory service on funding opportunities and legal topics is to be developed. The implementation of an OA officer and the adoption of an institutional OA strategy as well as the development of lean workflows and compatible infrastructures should establish the sustainable integration of Open Access values.The initial funding by DFG, German Research Foundation, is intended to support the establishment of an institutional publication fund to finance article processing charges for the quality-checked publication of Gold Open Access journal articles.
