The University of Applied Sciences Fulda is already promoting Open Access Publishing through advisory services for scientists in form of half a staff position, as well as through providing technical infrastructure for publications and archiving of publications. An Open Access Policy is in process of being adopted by the committees. In order to further establish the topic of Open Access, the DFG's funding will enable and stimulate an increased volume of publications in corresponding journals. Additional Open Access Publishing Services at University of Applied Sciences Fulda will continue to be developed and offered.
