Trier University supports the publication of articles in open access journals with a lasting Publication Fund set up with the help of the German Research Foundation (DFG). The publication services adapt themselves to the needs of the University's scientists, are scalable, customizable and can be accommodated to changing requirements. The University's future strategy for Open Access is based on the Guiding Principles for Open-Access-Transformation of the Alliance of Science Organizations in Germany from March 2016.
