Project Details
Fluorinated Compounds as Vibrational-Spectroscopic Interface Sensors (C05)
Subject Area
Biophysics
Term
since 2019
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 387284271
Project C5|Heberle uses vibrational spectroscopic methods to study Fluorine-Specific interactions at the mo-lecular/atomic level. The C-F bond is a vibrational spectroscopic probe to determine dielectric properties along the membrane/water interface. The insertion and folding of peptides from fluorinated amino acids are moni-tored by SEIRA spectroscopy.
