In this project, a total of 51,133 archival records are to be digitized. Afterwards the digitized material should be made available online.27,556 files and books (Amtsbücher) as well as 493 political posters in the original and 1184 microfilms will be digitized in this project. Digitization will be carried out by a service provider (Dienstleister). Files, books and posters are scanned in color, the microfilms in grayscale or black and white. In the digitization the DFG-Praxisregeln Digitalisierung will be observed. After scanning, the digital images are preserved on the image server of the Hamburg State Archives and a link with the archive software Scope will be created. All selected collections of this project are already in the database with their metadata. These are, on the one hand, the main records of the central administrative offices or of the special administrations (eg Senate protocols, Landherrenschaften) as well as process files (Reichskammergericht) dating back to the Middle Ages or early modern times. The presentation of the digitized data is made available via the State Archives’ online-database, the DFG-Viewer and by means of persistent identifiers via the archive portal-D or, in a perspective, via the Europeana.
