The aim of the project is, building on the CTS (Canonical Text Services) protocol, which allows a canonical and persisitent referencing of digital text passages in the field of Classics (ancient history, classical philology, classical archeology,), to extract the source references from online journals. This will be exemplarily developed on the basis of the Mitteilungsblatt des Deutschen Altphilologenverbandes (1958-1996) and the Papers of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens (1882-1897) and is intended as a generic tool for the entire digitized journal collection of UB Heidelberg in the field of classical Ancient Studies (Classical Philology / Ancient History). An integration into the current infrastructure developments of classical studies in cooperation with the University Library Heidelberg and the Fachinformationsdienst Altertumswissenschaften (Propylaeum) is intended. The software will be generic and ensure interoperability with other full-text databases in classical studies and infrastructure services.
