The central project administers the funds for travels of the personnel and visiting scientists in our laboratories as well as manages the financial transaction between the Microarray Facility and the Research Unit. Moreover, a second international conference on Intracellular Signaling in Plants is planned to be organised and co-financed through the central project. We decide for central administration of the travel funds for each group which are requested for the organisation of the internal meetings and visits to foreign host laboratories. Additional microarray analyses are intended as described in the individual research projects. The central transcriptome evaluation is still an important part for the integration of all transcriptomic experiments of the Research Unit and will be performed by bioinformatic analyses to develop knowledge of coupled and converged plastid-to-nucleus signaling in combination with other regulatory and metabolic pathways. After receiving an encouraging feedback at the end of our first international conference on ‘Retrograde Signaling in Plants’, it is intended to organized in the third year of the funding period a second conference. Financial support is applied for the invitation and hosting of about 20 national and international speakers.
