In this project we aim at identifying the effects of temozolomide on the single cell level, particularly its concentration per cell, its diffusion through the brain, and correlation of the effect with localization of the cell within the tumor. For that purpose, we employ the method to trace temozolomide on the single cell level which we have developed in the first funding period. This insight will reveal the heterogeneity of temozolomide effects within the tumor, intra-tumoral factors affecting its efficacy, and ultimately identify tumor cell type-specific targets to overcome resistance.
