Project Details
Reliability of joints concerning cyclic mechanical loading and corrosive environment (B02)
Subject Area
Mechanical Properties of Metallic Materials and their Microstructural Origins
Term
since 2019
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 418701707
The subproject continues to focus on fatigue strength and corrosion behavior. The focus here is on elucidating corrosion mechanisms in interaction with fatigue. In order to meet the requirements of versatility, the fatigue behavior of preformed semi-finished products with and without superimposed temperature is analyzed. The material influence continues to be in the foreground expending the investigations to a high-strength steel. The aim is to develop a fundamental understanding of the interactions between material conditions, the joining process and the resulting structural properties for different operating conditions.
