Project Details
Design of versatile joints (B05)
Subject Area
Engineering Design, Machine Elements, Product Development
Term
since 2019
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 418701707
Based on the results of cooperating projects regarding the joint characterization, the robust and reliable design of versatile joints considering process variations and uncertainties is investigated within this project. In this regard, sensitivity analyses provide the basis to determine the impact of varying and uncertain parameters on quality-relevant characteristics and the transfer of these results into a methodical development process for versatile mechanical joints. Furthermore, the developed approach enables the definition of robust process windows and the derivation of permissible tolerances in order to achieve a reliable and satisfying realization of requirements for a given task.
