Bismuthene and related systems: a new class of 2D topological insulators (A10)

This project focuses on bismuthene and bismuthene-derived monolayer phases. The central research objectives concerns the exploration of topological signatures in the optical response of excitons in bismuthene, which we recently discovered. Different growth modes and film capping will be studied and film quality be further optimized.
