The aim of our new project is to perform an in-depth study of the new types of magnetic excitations revealed in a number of helimagnetic materials using neutron scattering. In particular, we would like to pursue the investigation of pseudo-Goldstone modes in symmetric helimagnets and topological magnonic Weyl states in systems with Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interactions. We will also extend our study to itinerant helimagnets, focusing on helimagnon excitations in Fe-doped MnSi and on spin waves in systems with MnP-type structure that realize a double-helix type of magnetic order. We will use the results to develop theoretical models of the magnetic excitation spectrum and to predict or explain thermodynamic and transport properties of helimagnetic materials based on their low-energy spin dynamics.
