Eunapios, Histories; Petros Patrikios with Anonymus post Dionem; Liberatus, Breviarium: edition and philological commentary

Aim of the project is to produce a philological edition and commentary of a) the testimonies and fragments of the Histories by Eunapios and b) the Historia by Petros Patrikios and the so called Anonymus post Dionem, who is to be identified with Petros Patrikios, and c) of the Breviarium causae Nestorianorum et Eutychianorum by Liberatus of Carthago. The editions of these late antique historians available nowadays are either outdated or in several aspects problematic; a philological commentary explaining both problems of textual criticism and difficulties in grammar and language does not exist at all. The editions and commentaries will form part of the Kleine und fragmentarische Historiker der Spätantike (KFHist).
