The subproject A05 (Noennig) researches how visionary works from the fine arts and literature help to break traditional thought patterns in construction sciences. It develops and validates a stand-alone method that enables engineers to develop new sources of inspiration in order to generate radically different design and construction ideas in high speed and quantity. To explore new design paths and increase the output rate of ideas and innovations, techniques from the fields of design sciences, creativity, and innovation research as well as digital information and knowledge technologies will be merged in the new process of "Invention Engineering".
