Project Details
Dynamics and noise of disordered strain-coupled electronic order (B01)
Subject Area
Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics
Term
since 2020
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 422213477
The project develops a theory that describes the impact of defects and impurities on the quantum dynamics of strain-coupled electronic order. It addresses the close correlation between electronic symmetry breaking, long-range strain interactions, and the effects of inevitable impurities and disorder. It is performed in close collaboration with experimental projects, in particular project B02. The goal is to describe electronic inhomogeneities and noise in nematic and volume collapse systems.
