The project prepares and investigates complex oxide heterostructures and addresses questions regarding energy and charge transfer across the corresponding interfaces. Dynamic polaron formation is of central importance, as is the competition between electron and phonon mediated energy transfer. The project aims at manipulation of the dynamics by varying the pump photon energy and the choice of material. Time-resolved non-linear optical spectroscopy are combined with element-specific soft x-ray.
