Project Details
Paleoclimate applications of mixing parameterizations in an Earth system model ((16) L05)
Subject Area
Oceanography
Term
since 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 274762653
The main goal of this subproject is to assess the performance of energetically more consistent models by using new ocean mixing parameterizations developed in this CRC in a paleoclimatic context. In particular, we will study the impact of changes in tidal energy dissipation due to changes in sea level as well as continental configurations, during a cold as well as an idealized warm climate state.
