Retrospective Indexing and Digitization of theological Journals (DigiTheo_5)

In the project 67 theological journals are to be digitised and - with partially automated procedures - indexed at article level. This will result in about 150,000 articles and reviews, which will in future be accessible in full text via the Index Theologicus subject database. In contrast to other digitisation projects, the articles are made available via OJS instances. This enables later on the cooperating editors and publishers to independently enter the new volumes according to the moving wall principle. All articles and reviews will be OCR-edited and integrated into the full-text search of the IxTheo. In order to facilitate better search results, the articles are also systematically indexed according to the IxTheo classification.
