High-frequency filters are important core components for communication systems, which have become very important in times of digitalization. Different applications require the provision of different communication bands. The filtering of the signals is essential. Dielectric resonators are indispensable to make the high frequency filters compact and low-loss. Multi-mode resonators are suitable to further decrease the required volume and mass of the component. However, the corresponding structures cannot be realized with classical resonators and manufacturing techniques. The realization of resonators using additive manufactured ceramics opens up new possibilities that have only been considered rudimentary so far. The manufacturing process requires design strategies for the filters / resonators which must be taken into account. This, as well as the search for novel three-dimensional structures, will be investigated in this research project.
