Project Details
The role of CSK in the regulation of immune cell recruitment and metabolism during acute kidney injury (C05)
Subject Area
Nuclear Medicine, Radiotherapy, Radiobiology
Term
since 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 431460824
Src-family kinases (SFKs) are central regulators of both immune cell functionality and metabolism. The c-terminal Src-Kinase CSK is an inhibitor of SFKs. Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a disease in which both immunoregulatory as well as metabolic alterations occur, evoking in organ failure. To understand the role of CSK in the setting of AKI, we will investigate different mouse models, integrating molecular analyses such as microscopy, flow cytometry, and sequencing, along with in vivo tracking of immune cells and metabolic changes using MRI
