Project Details
Enhancing the predictive ability of species distribution models: stressor interactions, life cycle, and depicting degradation and recovery (A15)
Subject Area
Hydrogeology, Hydrology, Limnology, Urban Water Management, Water Chemistry, Integrated Water Resources Management
Term
since 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 426547801
A15 will develop species distribution models (SDMs) for selected diatom, invertebrate and fish spe-cies. It aims to advance previous SDM modelling approaches by the involvement i) of stressor inter-actions, ii) life cycle related habitat use, and iii) asymmetric recovery patterns and to eventually integrate these into a model considering critical timing and importance of environmental conditions during different life stages and during phases of degradation and recovery.
