In the present project, we want to use internet media sources (Twitter, Telegram, Youtube, news media) to understand the driving mechanisms behind COVID-19-related social dynamics in Germany and how they interact with the epidemic. To this end, we use the methods of data mining, network analysis, and natural language processing to develop quantitative models of coupled social and epidemiological dynamics. The models are used to propose recommendations for effective and targeted communication and control measures.
