Towards Cosmopolitan Communication Studies

The network aims to promote a process of "deep internationalization" of communication studies in research, teaching and university structures. In the context of the project essential steps will be taken to provide the the scientific community with concrete suggestions for such a process towards more cosmopolitan communication studies. This includes three main pillars, which will be implemented in sub-projects: 1) Systematic mapping of the status quo of the German Communication Studies with regard to structural and content-related internationalization 2) Providing perspectives of a cosmopolitan research and teaching agenda by means of a handbook 3) Integration of young researchers for the sustainable implementation of international and transcultural research through workshops
