A microfluidic flow-cell with integrated electrically regenerable SERS substrates

Subject Area Analytical Chemistry
Term since 2021
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 460566006

This project aims to develop a miniaturized flow cell for the analysis of compounds in continuous microflow with surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). This first SERS micro flow-cell will be realized using Lab-on-a-Chip technology and is envisaged as a new type of detection method in HPLC. By on-the-fly acquisition of vibrational spectra of eluting compounds, it facilitates the identification of unknown compounds. The proposed approach is the integration of an electrically regenerable SERS-active substrate into a microfluidic glass chip.
