Dithiocarbamate-functionalized carboxylates (DTCCs) are ditopic O,S-ligands which are synthetically readily available and suitable for the preparation of heterobimetallic coordination polymers (CPs). The objective of the project is the construction of porous, preferably dimensionally stable, three-dimensional structures, which allow for the intercalation of different guest molecules. For this purpose, novel DTCCs derived from aminodi- and aminotricarboxylic acids will be used, which exhibit additional rigid molecular groups. The obtained CPs will be extensively characterized regarding their solid-state structures and properties. Thereby, the main focus is on the sorption properties of porous structures as well as optical properties, particularly of lanthanide-containing CPs.
