Project Details
Regulation of social and mating behaviors by the lateral septal circuits (D08*)
Subject Area
Cognitive, Systems and Behavioural Neurobiology
Term
since 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 227953431
Project D08 will focus on the role of neuronal subpopulations of the lateral septum in controlling social and mating behaviors. The project will combine optogenetics, silicon probe electrophysiological recordings and calcium imaging in behaving mice, will characterize neuronal circuits regulating mating behaviors and will advance the understanding of neuronal mechanisms underlying behavioral choices.
