Project Details
Coding of Multimodal Body Hull Data (B01)
Subject Area
Communication Technology and Networks, High-Frequency Technology and Photonic Systems, Signal Processing and Machine Learning for Information Technology
Term
since 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 442419336
The aim of the subproject is to develop a source coding method for multimodal body hull data, which allows an efficient transmission of the human body hull including its motion. For coding, the spatial correlation of depth signals, the temporal coherence of human motion and the joint dependencies between microdoppler aperture synthesis radar data and depth signals will be used. Depending on the reconstruction accuracy required for the biomechanical and psychomotoric applications in the CRC a reduction of the data volume by at least two orders of magnitude is expected.
