Project Description

Subproject A07 aims for the development of reduced order models and physics-based machine-learning approaches to enable rapid, patient-specific predictions for implant performance. Building on own high-fidelity simulations, these models will be trained and validated using generated synthetic data and patient-specific datasets, accounting for differences in patient anatomy, implant geometry and position, as well as interface conditions. This integrated approach will facilitate the prediction of bone remodeling, implant migration, and loosening of hip endoprostheses, and enable precise modeling of neural activation in cochlear implants.
