The aim of project B4 is the development of a robust simulation methodology that allows a precise prediction of the microstructure and texture evolution during heat treatment. The recrystallization and grain growth models were adapted successfully to single-phase Fe-Mn-C and Fe-Mn-Al-C alloys. In the third research period these models will be extended and developed further according to specific features of the new alloy systems in the SFB 761. In order to identify crucial input parameters for the recrystallization and grain growth simulations and to validate the simulation results, detailed experimental studies will be carried out in this project.
