GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel strives to publish its research results worldwide freely accessible and reusable without barriers.The funds shall support the switch to publication-based financing models. Furthermore, structures shall be further developed, in order to improve the administrative, organizational and technical requirements in the area of recording and processing Open Access publication costs. Among other things, this is intended to create improved cost transparency. Beyond that, requirements for DFG funding for publications resulting from DFG projects shall be introduced.
