To support its members in publishing and financing OA journal articles and to advance the topic of OA in traditional journals, the university provides publication funds and participates in OA transformation contracts. The DFG co-funding helps to create a reliable structure for financing publication costs. The fund can be used to cover fees for the publication of articles in original, quality-assured OA journals as well as article fees from OA transformation contracts. Accompanying measures in the organizational, technical, and legal areas ensure that scientists and scholars are provided with a central entry point for all services and advisory offers for making their research results available in open access. Sustainable solutions for the open access transformation will be established through adjustments in the area of publication and financial monitoring.
