The conclusions of transformative contracts with the big publishers lead to a substantial increase of open access publication in hybrid journals. This also leads to rising costs, especially since GESIS is faced with high publication based back payments resulting from the DEAL contracts, which GESIS is planing to pay in its entirety. To this course we apply for additional funding within this program. This extra funding will be accompanied by three work packages to reduce transaction costs in handling of bills and to centrally merge the information on publication cost and publication volume in GESIS. The aim is to produce respective overviews „with the push of a button”. An additional work package addresses the intensification and extension of the internal open access information strategy of GESIS.
