With the proposed project, the University of Konstanz is pursuing the goal of further consolidating, adapting, and expanding the structures that have been created and established to date through the Open Access (OA) publication fund and with the help of the DFG funding program "Open Access Publishing". The university's scientists and scholars should continue to be offered a reliable and permanent service in the area of open access publishing. This service includes the financing of publication fees of OA journals and monographs with the resources of the university publication fund, into which the DFG funding feeds.The DFG funding program "Open Access Publication Funding" makes an important contribution to the further expansion of the regular budget for the funding of OA publication fees as well as to the further establishment and dissemination of the OA idea within the university and beyond.In this context, the work program also includes, above all, improving the internal university processes for collecting and managing publication and cost data. This primarily concerns the decentralized resources available for publications. There is also a focus on linking publication and funding information. The focus here is on aspects such as the implementation of ORCID, the introduction of a research information system, and regulations on funding acknowledgements. This work program will make it possible to create the necessary conditions for centrally managing the processing of as many of the university's publication funds as possible in the future.Within the scope of the application, the eligible publications for the years 2022-2024 will be determined on the basis of the OA publications of the years 2018-2020 and the associated costs, and funds will be requested for this purpose.
