The project aims at strengthening and extending the open-access activities undertaken by the University of Potsdam. It is intended to continuously increase the current open-access portion of about 62% in the domain of journal articles by making use of the DEAL contracts and the University publication funding which has been established in the year 2015 accompanied by education of University members and university-wide advertisement of the measures. In addition to funding, authors should be provided with general support in the field of open-access publication. Another goal of the proposed project is the further development and automating of the existing work flow for university-wide registration of all publication costs. To achieve this goal, central monitoring procedures will be implemented at the university library which are based on two technical tools. The first one is the central document management system to process electronic invoices which will be launched shortly. The second one is the management system for publications (Output.UP) which aggregates all relevant publications and publishing costs.
