Final Report Abstract
As part of my research semester, I measured the diurnal cycle of various trace gases using the solar absorption spectrometry in the infrared spectral range in the tropical western Pacific. To do this, I carried out measurements at our station in Palau from August 6 to October 28, 2022. From March 16 to April 15 2023 I was at JPL/NASA in Pasadena/U.S.A. to evaluate these measurements. The measurements and analysis were carried out as planned. The comparison with simulated data has begun. In addition to this planned work, the cooperation with our partners in Palau was further expanded and a new project for the high-precision measurement of CO2 and CH4 was started.
