Project Details
Adenine nucleotide control of dendritic cell migration (A20)
Subject Area
Cell Biology
Term
since 2022
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 335447717
Building on our findings that adenine nucleotides such as ATP and adenosine (ADO) differentially regulate dendritic cell (DC) migration, we now hypothesize - based on preliminary data - that ATP and ADO also modulate blood and lymphatic vessel function during inflammation, including their interactions with leukocytes. In this project, we will delineate purinergic signaling pathways governing leukocyte-endothelial cell (EC) crosstalk, integrating perspectives from leukocytes and blood and lymphatic ECs. We will employ advanced cell culture hydrogel models, ex vivo systems, and a model of adipose tissue inflammation to study these interactions.
