Virtual Environments: Sensoalgorithmic Virtuality in Autonomous Cars (A03)

The research project A03 investigates how (semi-)autonomous cars use virtual environments to operate in traffic. With a twofold, historical-genealogical and experimental-speculative method, it studies sensoalgorithmic virtuality as a procedure developed in robotics. It builds prototypes of robots based on Arduinomicrocontrollers and the programming environment HectorSLAM. With this research program, it is possible to study the conditions and consequences of virtual spaces of interaction in which human and non-human actors are attributed with agency.
