Within HyPERiON the entire NMR system is miniaturized, so too will the sample volumes with re-spect of current standard of 100 – 500 µL. This will be addressed in C02 by microfluidic approach-es, offering the potential for reliable, fast, and correlated (hyphenated and more dimensional) in situ NMR in flow-through or stopped-flow modes. An NMR compatible platform will implement multiple sample management tasks within one device. Signal enhancement strategies including PRE or photo-CIDNP will increase the NMR signal intensity in the microfluidic devices where a rather lim-ited number of spins are to be observed. Exemplary applications will be high throughput NMR for screening purposes and (bio-)chemical reaction monitoring.
