Pattern-formation during wetting-dewetting transitions of a substrate will be investigated by analytical and numerical studies. The formation of structures occur through the propagation and folding of the wetting-front. Influences of the phase-diagram and the transition from a thin to a thick fluid film are of particular interest. Variations of the surface-tension through varying composition of the wetting fluid may lead to changes in the wetting-patterns. The investigation of these phenomena will require the treatment of both diffusive and convective transport. A meanwhile developed numerical scheme allows us to threat the hydrodynamic flow in some detail. We hope to detect and to generalize scaling laws for the universal aspects of this pattern-forming process, which can be compared with recent experiments.
