Project Details
A Light-Programmable Coding True Metasurface Antenna (TMA) for Beam Forming
Subject Area
Communication Technology and Networks, High-Frequency Technology and Photonic Systems, Signal Processing and Machine Learning for Information Technology
Term
since 2022
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 511400365
This project consists of three major parts. In the first part (work packages of 1 and 2), a circularly polarized (CP) and a linearly polarized (LP) non-reconfigurable true metasurface antennas are designed, fabricated and tested. Then in the second step (work packages 3 and 4), the CP true metasurface antenna designed in the previous step is merged with a reconfigurable feeding pattern to obtain a reconfigurable OAM true metasurface antenna. Finally, in the third step (work package 5, 6 and 7), a light-programmable digital-coding metasurface is designed, fabricated and tested by merging the LP true metasurface antenna in the first step with a reconfigurable multi-layered metasurface acting as a digital-coding programmable transmission-type metasurface.
