In the research project "Briefwechsel David Hilbert, Adolf Hurwitz, Hermann Minkowski" the correspondence of the three mathematicians and friends David Hilbert (1862 - 1943), Adolf Hurwitz (1858 - 1919) and Hermann Minkowski (1864 - 1909) will be transcribed and published in chronological order. In particular, the extensive correspondence (ca. 326 letters) will be supplemented by commentaries and contextualizing essays. In addition, a socio-mathematical network analysis, or prosopography, will be carried out in parallel with regard to the mathematicians mentioned. It is planned to publish the letters as a book in the series "Mathematik im Kontext" of Springer-Verlag.
