The TU Berlin is applying for funding under the DFG program "Open Access Publication Costs" to support the financing of Open Access publication costs. The anticipated need is based on the expected costs for Open Access journal articles and Open Access books based on the current publication data. In order to ensure that the financing of Open Access is sustainable, transparent, and efficient, TU Berlin is implementing a comprehensive package of measures. At the core of this initiative are the continuation and expansion of the successfully initiated centralization of funding and supply processes, as well as the further development of publication and cost monitoring in the form of an information budget. TU Berlin also promotes alternative publishing models and infrastructures based on the principles of Diamond Open Access and in accordance with the criteria of Fair Open Access. In addition, targeted measures will be taken to raise awareness among researchers about the financial aspects of Open Access.
