Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences promotes the transformation of publishing towards Open Access (OA) by providing researchers with a wide range of support services. This includes an OA strategy, OA guidelines, a publication fund, and an OA advisory service. The fund is administered in the university library. The library's Research Services Department centrally provides advice, processes funding applications and monitors OA costs. The OA services, including the publication fund, are open to all researchers at the university and are advertised through various channels such as the homepage, news, email, events and individual consultation. The "Open Access Publication Costs" will make a significant contribution to strengthening publication behaviour in the direction of Open Access and thus support the goals of the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences regarding open access to scientific knowledge.
