Employment plays a central role in shaping people’s livelihoods. This project examines how different types of work in agricultural and non-agricultural sectors of rural Africa influence key dimensions of people’s well-being, including poverty, food security, job satisfaction, and gender relations, among others. Household- and individual-level panel data from different African countries are collected and analyzed with quantitative and qualitative methods.
