A binding analysis device based on microscale thermophoresis contributes an innovative approach to the characterisation of interactions involving proteins, a multi-mode detection device for UV/Vis, fluorescence and luminescence allows a variety of tests in new or improved form, an automated patch clamp system and a system for solid-supported membrane (SSM)-based electrophysiology for high-resolution transporter studies provide the equipment basis for expanding research on membrane transport processes. As potential applications of the analysis platform, research projects on the functional analysis of atypical isoforms of epithelial sodium channels and on aminoacylases are outlined as examples.
