In the era of evidence-based medicine (EBM), it is essential for future physicians to receive education and training in randomized clinical trials (RCT) to improve the quality of care of our patients. Promoting physicians who are competent by training and experience to conduct clinical trials is critical for assuring the safety of study participants as well as the quality and integrity of data. The main interest is in the design and implementation of clinical trials in the field of antithrombotic treatment for cardiological patients. The first goal of this research grant is to acquire the knowledge and experience in the design and methodology of RCT and to transfer this to Germany. The second goal is to establish a network of future collaboration which can improve the quality of research in our clinical study center.
